After a day or so we were realising that Oslo hadn't really been infiltrated from an exploring perspective, other than the two ghost stations. When suggesting climbing the so called Barcode buildings, local explorer Thor wasn't too keen. Even though for most British explorers it was standard practice and considered an easy explore. Residues, Zero and Thor walked up to the site, and we wandered around the perimeter. The main target was the crane, however when we got there the gate was wide open, and 15m through the gate was the lit up crane. It all looked too easy. So we opted to just do the building. We walked around to a quiet spot and swang through the gate. This is the first view we had looking through the gate. The scaffed building was our target, oddly it was in an L shape.

Getting up was very simple, we got to the first bit of scaff we came across. It was then quickly up a few floors before locating the core stairs to the very top. At the top we got the views we were after. Local chap Thor was elated. A bridge over the tracks that were being worked on by numerous track gangs. This is looking North.

East of the site was the hills of Oslo.

The moon created an interesting addition to this shot looking South over the harbour.

Looking North West across to the centre of town. Of the two prominent towers on the left, we'd tried to get to the roof of the Radisson hotel (the right of the two towers), but were thwarted by entry cards and suspicious security guards.

A closer shot of downtown, between the main towers can be seen the lit up ski jump on the hill.

All done, we dropped down and headed out the way we'd come in. We didn't spot any workers, although Zero had seen a security chap walk off to his cabin at one point. Happy the explore had gone without a hitch, I quickly whizzed through a gap between two heras fences, only to shred the sleeve of my coat. Arse!

Pleased that we'd shown Thor how easy these things can be, and hopefully inspire the locals to do more. We said our goodbyes and headed off to sleep. We all had early starts the following morning.
