GES033 - Abbey Mills Pumping Station - Trip 3

Ratfink was in town, and busy tackling the 'high'-lights of London with Kev, and tagged along to check out this most beautiful of buildings. Kev and I had already got in, and were keen to get intel on London's sewer system. The other showed up half an hour later.
One of the bits of the cross, that has a separate visitors room on the left through the large windows. The electric pumps sit on either side of the camera.

One of the bits of the main cross design with a control room in it.

Another of the arms of the cross, with stairs down to the mucky goings on below. On the wall on the right sits a fine prize for any drainer.

Live control panel.

One of the electric pumps.

The Amazing ironwork. I'll be quiet now, so you can enjoy. Here's some suitable music while you peruse.

Music  "Left Bank Two", composed by Wayne Hill

Looking down one of the arms of the cross into the centre of the building. Crane above on it's tracks.

Just amazing.

Must.stop.taking. photos.

The spiral stairs to the different levels.

Even the floor grills are amazing.

Huge sewer pipe in the basement.

Our information acquired, we trooped out to carry out more explores. Now I know how a spy must feel after accomplishing a similar mission!
