GES207 - Piscine du Mosque, Dadizelle

When on a road trip, the goal is to try to see lots of different places, and this was one of them. I was mainly interested in the foyer area, which was different to anywhere else I'd seen. I have a local explorer to thank for the location. Thanks to Google Streetview, it looked exactly as it had online, and as the picture below.

As we got closer, we checked around the building. We'd heard numerous people had been caught by the owner, so wanted to make sure we weren't. The place looked trashed, most of the windows were smashed, dreadful graffiti was daubed everywhere. I found a couple of options for getting in, and OllieGT with Alex Residues followed me. My main interest was the foyer, which didn't disappoint. Although I didn't spot the branches that had crawled into the shot.

The sun was setting, and hit the building at the perfect angle to get some nice shadows. This was the top floor.

And this the middle floor, where a fisheye lense comes into it's own.

Through the open door in the above shot, a hall, which sits above the swimming pool below.

The tiling follows the walls around the ground floor areas.

The actual pool. You'll note the building materials and equipment lying about, the owner is renovating the place. I felt sorry for him, as he had a helluva task, mindless vandals had smashed the place up pretty good. A numpty GE066 practices poise on the diving board.

The colourful changing cubicles beside the pool.

I hope the place does get repaired and re-opens, as it's a unique building. We all climbed back into the car, and pushed on back to Brussels for more adventures.
