Finished in 1973 and stretching to 1.94m tall, I'm both getting on a bit and rather tall. A bit like the Cromwell Tower which was built in 1973 as well, but stretches to 123m.
A few explorers had already done Lauderdale tower a while ago, and Gringo had intimated he wanted to do it and had found a way sometime later. After doing that, he, as well as I, were keen to finish the trio. We looked at the other two, and the signs were not great. They were much better protected. However I had a bold idea as to how to do it, and so it was that we returned with Kev to give it a go. Gringo did the tricky bits, and then Kev and I cleaned up so to speak. We then all ascended to the top. Here we came to the next obstacle. A locked door to the roof section proved no trouble to my co-explorer's skills, however, the next locked door to the very top did. I carefully slipped out and onto the roof of one of the penthouses, and looked around. Before I knew it I was showing the others a way up, and we were on the very top. Not having done this at Lauderdale, it was a satisfying feeling. Cromwell reflected in an office block on London Wall.

Most views of London contain previous triumphs, and this one was no different. The Shard looked close to topping out the main core.

As those familiar with my high building explores will know, I love watching the night break into dawn. The light action is crazy on the buildings and unobstructed sky. This shot shows that off to great effect.

Admittedly I took a couple of shots of this, but with only a tiny window, i'm glad I managed to get the sun bang on the horizon. The colours in the sky are just awesome.

The pink light flooding the City and Canary Wharf made it a truly special experience, and why I love doing what I do. Sadly it's difficult to truly capture the experience in a few photos. So a video exists here.

Not an apocalyptic explosion over London, but merely the sun over North London.

Time to re-arrange the ariels so they only get BBC1.
