GES279 - Villa T, Italy

Tucked away on the spine of Northern Italy, a large former commune/villa lies abandoned to the elements. Presumably once owned by a wealthy family, it appears to have gone through subsequent owners and uses before lying waste. Outbuildings show collections of scaffold equipment and storage of other kinds. There is little known information about the place on the internet. Only a handful of people appear to have visited and reported on the place prior this visit. A number have named it Villa T, or Palace T, however during my research I found this referred to a Palace in Piacenza. Another Palace in the neighbouring village, shows history going back to the 13th Century. When Cremonese troops from Fiorenzuola stopped by, and numerous other troops passed through in the middle ages between battles and feuds.
This is the building seen from a convenient parking space.

The inner courtyard, overgrown.

Outbuildings line the front edge of the estate. Some had random things stored in the rooms, others empty. Piles of scaffold poles and related equipment lay in a couple of the buildings.

On entering the main building, the kitchen was the first recognisable room.

The main room of the building. Unfortunately, even though scorching daylight outside, it was still dark inside. I also didn't have my light painting torch with me. So apologies if this is a bit on the dark side.

The amazing ceiling of the main room.

Looking out the main room, to the kitchen down the hall, and staircase to the upper floors.

Most of the rooms upstairs, and downstairs were similar to this. A high almost domed ceiling, and a window with facing seats.

The first floor also had a grand room, the walls weren't painted, but the ceiling was.

An HDR attempt to show the main room can he seen below if wanted. I take no responsibility for damage to your eyes!
